Zomig is branded Zolmitriptan and comes in the form of tablets, orodispersible and a nasal spray.

How to use Zomig Nasal Spray?

Only one spray into one nostril is required. Zomig nasal spray starts to work in around 15 minutes. The tablets may take between 45 and 60 minutes to work.

This is the first medication that has helped with my migraines. It seemed to work very quickly, certainly within the first hour. It does taste unpleasant as it leaks down your throat from your nose and I did feel groggy after I'd taken it but it's worth it to get rid of the migraine.

I cannot get Zomig nasal spray from my own GP, I get zolmitriptan in tablet form instead. I find zolmitriptan effective, however it takes approximately an hour to start working, I also tend to vomit when I have a migraine - so tablets are not ideal. Because zomig is a nasal spray it acts quicker & also cannot be vomited up. Sorry if that's TMI!!
