When medication is dispensed to patients, it is occasionally provided in unbranded white boxes, referred to as 'split packs.'
This practice occurs because Pharmica receives medication from manufacturers in pre-packaged quantities. Sometimes patients require smaller quantities than the manufacturer's
standard packaging, necessitating the division or 'splitting' of these packs.
For example, if a patient is prescribed four capsules of a medication, but Pharmica only receives boxes containing eight capsules, a split pack is provided.
This ensures that patients only pay for the precise amount of medication they need.
At Pharmica, all dispensed medications undergo thorough quality control checks. This is common practice in all UK pharmacies. As a pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical
Council (GPhC), we strictly adhere to all national regulatory guidelines.
